Episcopal Tradition of Diversity, Respect and Inclusion
In our commitment to creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all families, children, and staff at St. Clare’s Christian Preschool, we seek and welcome opportunities to build understanding and knowledge of the members of our community.
One of the principles inherent in the Episcopal tradition is diversity. Weekly Chapel
Through weekly chapel and educational programming, we are dedicated to teaching and celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion regularly (such as Diwali and Lunar New Year).
We firmly believe that our community is best served with a broad spectrum of backgrounds represented in our preschool students, families, staff, administration, and advisory board.
We strive to create a community that honors and values the worth and dignity of every child and human being. With this foundation in diversity, equity, and inclusion, St. Clare’s Christian Preschool strives to enhance young children’s academic and emotional intelligence, preparing them for success in an ever-changing world.
Clare’s Fare
Community Garden
This garden is dedicated to raising fresh, organic produce for those in need in our community. Founded in 2020, the garden is a joint mission of community volunteers and St. Clare’s Episcopal Church. It has also hosted our preschool children for lessons on butterflies, composting, and pumpkins, and serves as a model garden for those interested in growing food and creating sustainable outdoor spaces.
Since it began, the garden has grown to include four 100-foot beds, a Pollinator Garden, an herb garden, a horticulture bed, 18 fruit trees, a greenhouse, a tool shed, a succulent garden, and numerous smaller beds. The harvest benefits two groups, La Familia and Culinary Angels, by providing fresh, organic produce for their clients.
